Tamar Braxton may be prepping for the premiere of We TV's first spin-off series, Tamar and Vince, where she stars alongside her husband and manager Vincent Herbert, but the youngest Braxton sister is also prepping for her comeback album.
"Honestly, these are great records, and I'm not just saying that because they're mine," Tamar tells ABC News Radio. "If they were not mine I would want them to be mine. I do feel like this is my best work yet."
Fans were eagerly anticipating Tamar's upcoming album's first single, which was supposed to drop Sept. 20, the same day as her new show's premiere. But it had to be pushed back. "I'm still devastated and down about it," Tamar admits.
"It's still gonna come this year," her husband/manager Vince confirms. "We just had to regroup and move some things around...but it's definitely still coming this year."
Indeed, a lot of things have moved around in Tamar's music career. The 35-year-old recently switched labels, signing with Streamline/Interscope Records, the same label as Lady Gaga, who is also managed by her husband.
Tamar said that although she's disappointed, she believes her husband has a vision for her career. "I respect him for who he is and the things that he's accomplished, especially in this music industry," Tamar tells ABC News Radio. "I would be a fool to go against what he definitely believes in his gut."
Watch Tamar's music career play out on WeTV's Tamar and Vince, set to premiere Sept. 20 and listen to a never-before-heard single, "Love & War," from her untitled album.
