There's no sign of a Destiny's Child reunion happening any time soon, but for the first time in seven years, fans can expect a new release featuring the beloved girl group. Columbia/Legacy, along with Music World -- the label led by Beyonce's father Mathew Knowles -- is set to release the compilation disc Destiny's Child -- Playlist.
The 14-track set arrives in stores on Oct. 9. The disc includes material from the early years, when Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett broke onto the scene in 1998 with the group's self-titled debut album. This year marks the 15th anniversary of their chart-topping single, "No, No, No" (Part 2), featuring Wyclef Jean, so it's only right that the song be featured among the album's 14 tracks.
Destiny's Child -- Playlist also includes music from the reconfigured Destiny's Child crew, with Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle Williams. Among those tracks is the platinum-certified single "Soldier" featuring T.I. and Lil' Wayne, off their 2004 Destiny Fulfilled album.
To celebrate the release of Destiny's Child -- Playlist, the group's website will be updated. Fans can also check out newly-launched Destiny's Child Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest accounts.
