Roger Waters Joins Lineup of Star-Studded Levon Helm Tribute Concert

Courtesy of Roger WatersFounding Pink Floyd singer/bassist Roger Waters has signed on to perform at Love for Levon, the all-star tribute concert for the late Levon Helm that's scheduled to take place October 3 at the Izod center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.  Waters, who recently finished a massively successful North American leg of his The Wall Live tour, will be the last announced addition to the bill.

Among the many other stars slated to play at the show are Gregg Allman, Joe Walsh, ex-Jefferson Airplane guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes.  Members of Helm's backing group will anchor the event, which will raise money to help Helm's family maintain ownership of his barn and studios in Woodstock, New York.

Back in 1990, Helm and his fellow founding Band members Rick Danko and Garth Hudson took part in Waters' star-studded performance of Pink Floyd's The Wall at the Berlin Wall.
