Kris Allen Dropped by Record Label
Facebook.com/KrisAllenKris Allen is out of a record deal. A rep for RCA Records tells The Hollywood Reporter that the label has parted ways with the 2009 American Idol champion.
Kris signed to RCA Records after his Idol win over Adam Lambert and put out his self-titled debut album the following November. His second disc, Thank You Camellia, was released this past May.
The Hollywood Reporter notes that RCA Records has cut loose two other American Idol winners over the past year: David Cook and Lee DeWyze.
