Macy Gray to Release Stevie Wonder Cover Album and Five-Song EP

Facebook.com/MacyGrayIn an interview with the website The Boombox, Macy Gray says she's in the studio working on not one but two projects: a Stevie Wonder cover album and a five-song EP of her own original music.

The singer is recording a cover version of Stevie's entire LP Talking Book which features such Grammy-winning classics as  "You are the Sunshine of My Life," "Superstition," and others.  Macy says she plans to release the reworked covers album in October to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Stevie's 1972 release,

The EP is titled Boys and, Macy says, "We're actually almost done with the new record."  She explains her concept for the mini-release of original songs saying, "All the titles of the songs are boys' names, they're all dedicated to a specific boy." According to the singer, "It sounds really, really great."  Macy says she thinks Boys will be released in November or December.
