Metallica Dominates "Rolling Stone" Readers' Greatest Heavy Metal Albums Poll
Warner Bros. MusicMetallica's 1986 album, Master of Puppets, has been chosen the greatest heavy metal album of all time by the readers of Rolling Stone.
The top 10 poll, which the magazine launched over the weekend, also includes three other Metallica albums: ...And Justice for All at #5, Metallica, a.k.a. the Black Album, at #8, and Ride the Lightning at #10.
The only other band to get multiple albums on the list was Black Sabbath, who claimed slots two and three for Paranoid and their self-titled debut album, respectively. Also landing on the tally are classic hard-rocking records from Iron Maiden, Slayer, Guns N' Roses and Led Zeppelin.
