Win a Chance to Open for Mateo at the Apollo!

Photo by Jonathan Beckerman Mateo is taking the stage at the famed Apollo Theater on October 13, and he's looking for an opening act.

Interscope Records, Singersroom.com and a video website that helps artists get noticed, TopBlip.com, have joined forces to give an aspiring artist his or her big break. 

To get in on the competition, contestants must visit TopBlip and submit of video of themselves performing a song, preferably one of Mateo's tracks.  If not, an original work will also be accepted.

The first deadline is September 28, and the videos that garner the highest number of points will move forward.  Points are determined by fan votes via Facebook, Twitter and TopBlip.  Details about the judging process are available online.

Eventually, the pool of contestants will be whittled down to four people.  The singer who comes out on top will get a 15-20 minute set during Mateo's Apollo show this fall.
