Taylor Debuts New Song on "Stand Up to Cancer"

Big Machine

Taylor Swift is set to debut a new song, never before performed in public, at Friday's Stand Up to Cancer telethon, a source close to the superstar confirms to ABC News Radio.

"Ronan" tells the story of a 3-year-old who died last year from neuroblastoma, which is cancer of the nerve tissue. Taylor wrote the song after reading his mother's blog, and even gives her a co-writing credit on the song.

Stand Up to Cancer will be simulcast on the major networks Friday at 8 Eastern.

After her performance, Taylor's song will be available on iTunes, with proceeds helping cancer charities.
