Eight years is a really long time to wait for new Destiny's Child music, so instead of holding out any longer, Sony Music unexpectedly premiered DC's unreleased track "Nuclear" on Friday. Mashable posted the song just one day after news went out, announcing that Love Songs, a 14-track Destiny's Child compilation, would be released January 29.
Naturally, Beyonce is first up on "Nuclear," singing over the upbeat, dance-inspired track, produced by Pharrell Williams. "It's just evolution/ we're just getting better/ when the two become one/ on a quantum level," Bey sings, before the chorus begins.
Kelly Rowland takes over halfway through the nearly four-minute song, and Michelle Williams -- who co-wrote the track -- gets her chance to shine just a minute before the tune ends. Along with the song, fans can take a stroll down memory lane via Sony Music's Destiny's Child tumblr page.
