Prince to Receive Icon Award at 2013 "Billboard" Music Awards

BERTRAND GUAY/AFP/Getty ImagesPrince will command the stage at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, performing during the live broadcast from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas this spring.  The chart-topping musician will be presented with the Billboard Icon Award during the show, airing live on ABC, Sunday, May 19.

Last year, Alicia Keys presented Stevie Wonder with Billboard's Icon Award, joining him on stage for a medley of his hits "Higher Ground" and "Overjoyed."

More performers and presenters will be announced at a later date.
