Elton John-Headlined Concert Celebrating Yamaha's 125th Anniversary to Also Feature Toto, Michael McDonald and Other Stars
New details have been announced for the special concert Elton John will be playing this Friday night at Disneyland's Hyperion Theater in Anaheim, California, to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Yamaha, the company that makes his pianos. The show also will feature a variety of other music stars, including Toto, Michael McDonald, Chaka Khan, Earth, Wind & Fire and Sarah McLachlan.
The concert, which is expected to run for three hours, will be streamed live online at EltonJohn.com/Yamaha125 starting at 11 p.m. ET. John is slated to hit the stage at about 1:25 a.m. ET, and he'll be accompanied by a 70-piece orchestra. In addition, the event will feature Elton playing a Yamaha electronically enhanced Disklavier piano for five songs. The instrument boasts RemoteLive technology, which will allow John's performance to be simultaneously reproduced on similar keyboards set up in a variety of locations across the globe.
