R&B Divas Show Gets Second Season; LA Spin-Off to Air in 2013
TV OneThe R&B Divas aren't done yet. TV One has renewed the show for a second season, which means fans will once again get a chance to follow the lives of the original cast, including Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert-Daniels, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson and Keke Wyatt. Production begins in Atlanta later this month.
TV One crews will also travel to sunny California to begin shooting a R&B Divas spin-off series in Los Angeles. Cameras will follow five yet-named R&B stars as they balance their personal lives and careers in LA. An eight-episode run is scheduled to kick off later this year.
"R&B Divas has definitely struck a positive chord with viewers," Toni Judkins, executive vice president programming and production for TV One, says in a statement. "Week-after-week, the series continued to build on its audience and we’re thrilled to provide another season and a new franchise of a dynamic program that is clearly resonating with audiences."
During its 2012 run, R&B Divas was the most-watched of TV One's reality series.
