Lady Antebellum Nervous for First TV Performance of "Downtown" Tonight

Capitol NashvilleIt's hard to believe Lady Antebellum would get nervous for a TV performance anymore, but they've got butterflies going into their Monday night appearance on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno. They're set to sing their new brand-new single, "Downtown" for the first time ever on the show, and the group's Charles Kelley says, "That'll make you extra nervous."

Despite their nerves, the members of Lady A know an appearance on The Tonight Show is a good way to introduce the new, funkier sound of "Downtown." A lot of people who might not listen to country music tune in to the show, and the group is hoping to pick up some new fans.

"Hopefully this song will be something that'll stick out to them too if they've heard us previously or maybe just knew one or two songs previously," explains group member Dave Haywood. "Maybe this'll be one of those songs too that they'll be like, 'Wow, that's totally different than the stuff I've heard before.'"

"Downtown" is the lead single from Lady Antebellum's upcoming album due out in the coming months.
