Whether folks are talking about Beyonce's Inauguration Day performance or they're talking about a possible Destiny's Child reunion at the Super Bowl, all eyes are on the Queen Bey. That, of course, makes now a perfect time for her to launch her latest fragrance, Pulse NYC.
"I thought that now that I am a New Yorker and I've learned about how I can accomplish anything in this city, I felt it was an appropriate energy for the new fragrance," Beyonce says in a behind-the-scenes video from her ad campaign photo shoot.
On set, Beyonce slips into a couple different dresses, each reflecting the sparkle of New York City's dazzling skyscrapers. She stands in front of a Manhattan backdrop while posing in a shiny, long-sleeved silver dress with a see-through side panel. Then she steps into a strapless dress that appears to be made of tiny, mirrored tiles.
Like Beyonce's dresses, the Pulse NYC bottles were inspired by New York City's sky-high buildings. Bey holds up a bottle of the perfume at the end of her video ad and says, "As you can see, it is my favorite color." Then holding the glass container with the metallic blue shell up to her chin she says, slyly, "I wonder what that is."
