Jill Scott Among the Headliners at Cape Town Jazz Festival

Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Vh1Last year, Jill Scott canceled her performance at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival in South Africa, choosing instead to join the cast of Lifetime's Steel Magnolias remake.  Jill will make it up to her fans though, as she's signed on to headline this year's festival in Cape Town.

More than 40 performers from around the world will take the stage during the musical showcase, taking place April 5 and 6.  There's no word yet on which day Jill will deliver her set, but that information will be revealed soon.

Jill is one of a handful of American artists who'll be performing at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival.  Rapper Brother Ali will also represent for the U.S. during the 14th annual showcase.
