Led Zeppelin to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award in Germany

Soren Solkaer StarbirdLed Zeppelin will be honored with the first International Lifetime Achievement Award at the ECHO awards on March 21 in Berlin, Germany.  According to the group's official website, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones will be present to accept the award.  Robert Plant will be unable to attend due to a previously scheduled concert that night in Singapore.

The New York Times recently reported that the band is negotiating with several subscription music services, including Spotify, Rhapsody  Rdio, and Deezer, to stream its classic catalog.  Led Zeppelin held out until 2007 to make its music available on iTunes.
