Diana Ross Causes a Commotion at Swanky Beverly Hills Restaurant?

RBP ConcertsWord has it that Diana Ross caused quite a stir at a Beverly Hills restaurant a few days ago, and no, it's not because fans were tripping over themselves to get close to the icon.  The New York Post reports that Ross arrived at the posh restaurant La Scala ahead of her daughter on Thursday, and, without a reservation, she wasn't allowed to sit at a table until the rest of her party arrived.

The restaurant policy is nothing out of the ordinary, but according to the Post, Ross decided she'd break the rule.  She took over a corner booth, and even after management came over and explained that she would not be served, the singer stayed put, according to the paper.

Sources tell the Post that a scene broke out when Ross' daughter arrived at the restaurant, and in the end, the ladies stormed out of the place.  La Scala's owner stands by the restaurant's rules though, telling the Post, "I'm sorry that Miss Ross had a problem with that and she feels that the rules didn't apply to her... We treat everyone the same whether you're famous or not."

The owner adds that she loves having Ross as a customer, and La Scala would "be happy to have her back."  The Post reached out to Ross' rep for a comment, but hadn't heard back.
