The music lineup has been revealed for the 2013 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and, in addition to a wide variety of country stars, one veteran rock act is set to perform during the annual extravaganza -- Styx. The band is scheduled to play a March 4 concert at the event, also known as RodeoHouston, which will run from February 25 through March 17.
Styx appeared at the event once before, in 2002. The show is the latest addition to the rockers' expanding 2013 itinerary, which kicks off on January 17 in New Orleans. Visit Pollstar.com to check out all of the band's confirmed tour dates.
Among the other artists set to perform during this year's RodeoHouston are country superstars Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, George Strait and Martina McBride, as well as hip-hop soul queen Mary J. Blige, rapper Pitbull and pop singers Bruno Mars and Demi Lovato. All of the concerts will take place at Houston's Reliant Park. Tickets will be available for purchase starting this Saturday at 10 p.m. via RodeoHouston.com and all Ticketmaster locations.
