Justin Bieber Keeps Smiling Through the Pain in New Clip from "Believe" Movie

Open Road FilmsIn 2010, Justin Bieber released the single "U Smile," and in a new promotional clip from his upcoming movie Believe, he talks about the importance of doing just that -- even when you don't feel like smiling.

In the clip, Justin is seen speaking to a couple of people, holding forth on the importance of keeping up appearances even when you're not feeling very happy.  "You always gotta keep a smile on your face," he says. "Through all the negativity, you gotta hide your emotions sometimes, especially for me going on stage.  I could be going through a big argument; I'm like, 'I'm about to go on stage right now.'  And we're yelling...and then I gotta go [on stage] and it's like, I'm upset and I don't wanna have to smile and be happy but sometimes you gotta just suck it up."

He adds, "That's just one of the things you gotta deal with, being in this position, in this world, in this industry."

Believe, directed by Jon M. Chu, hits theaters on Christmas Day.  Justin will be releasing a different clip from the film every Friday, a program he's calling #filmfridays.  It matches his #musicmondays program, which sees him release at least one new song every Monday through December 16.
