We don't know exactly when Kelly Clarkson is planning to elope with her fiance Brandon Blackstock, but we can tell you that it will be in less than a month. ABC News Radio has confirmed that Kelly and Brandon obtained a marriage license on Tuesday in Sumner County, Tennessee. The two have 30 days to wed from the time the license was issued.
In fact, Kelly and Brandon may be married by the time her new album Wrapped In Red arrives on October 29. On Friday, she released the first single, "Underneath the Tree," and if you're looking for an upbeat, retro-sounding Christmas tune that isn't Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," this tune may be just the ticket.
The rollicking track, which sounds like it could have been recorded back in the sixties, is similar in theme to Mariah's, with Kelly singing, "Presents/What a beautiful sight/Don't mean a thing if you ain't holding me tight/You're all that I need/Underneath the tree/Tonight."
If you pre-order Kelly's album on iTunes, you get an instant download of her version of "White Christmas. There are holiday merchandise bundles available as well: the most expensive will set you back about a hundred bucks, and gets you the album on CD and vinyl, as well as an exclusive Kelly Clarkson scarf, holiday ornament and snow globe.
