Selena Gomez got emotional Wednesday night while performing her song “Love Will Remember,” which is reportedly about her ex, Justin Bieber. The 21-year-old was on the stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, when her eyes welled up in mid-performance.
After the song was over, Selena addressed the cheering audience, saying, "I have to say that after everything that I go through on a daily basis, you guys never fail to make me smile, so thank you so much."
After the show, Gomez explained on her Instagram page that she got upset and emotional because she wasn't allowed to use the photo-sharing site during the show, for some reason. She wrote, "Never ended such a beautiful show in tears because they wouldn't allow me to Instagram tonight. Completely heart broken and pissed."
Gomez added, "Thank you SO much Brooklyn. I'll be stopping outside Letterman tomorrow to make it up to you if you can make it. I love you guys more than you know. Promise." David Letterman on Thursday welcomed Selena onto his show, which is taped in Manhattan.
Gomez hasn't officially confirmed that "Love Will Remember" is about Justin.
