Miley Cyrus will be the host and musical guest on this week's edition of Saturday Night Live, and in newly-released promos, she pokes fun at the scandal surrounding her twerk-tastic MTV VMA performance.
Appearing with cast member Taran Killam, Miley introduces herself. Then Taran turns to her and scolds, "Miley, that VMAs performance -- how could you?" "I know, how could I?" Miley responds, seeming regretful. "I mean, it was too much! The children!" responds Taran. "And what was I wearing?" Miley asks. "And doing?" Taran responds. "Don't forget about the children!" Miley adds, with Taran responding, "The children!" They both then scream in frustration.
In another promo, Taran asks Miley why she always sticks out her tongue. "It's how I smell," she explains. "That's how you smell...like a snake?" Killam asks. "Yeah," says Miley. "Are you wearing women's deodorant?" "No!" insists Taran, before admitting, "Yes."
And in a final promo, Taran says to Miley, "Miley, so happy to have you back. Forgive me, I don't watch TV or read the news, but what have you been up to since you last hosted?" Miley responds, "You wanna take a few minutes to Google me." We see the words "One Hour Later," and then Taran returns with shocked look on his face. "You've been busy," he says. "Yeeaaah," she agrees.
You can see Miley in action this Saturday on NBC, but if you can't wait that long, tune into MTV tonight to see her documentary special Miley: The Movement, which premieres at 10 p.m. ET. It's described as "an intimate portrait that captures Miley's exuberant and spirited life, her evolving identity, and her exciting transformation into a music icon." Translation: lots of behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, plus Miley talking all about the VMA performance.
