KISS' Gene Simmons Clarifies Comments Regarding Original Lineup Reuniting for Possible Rock Hall Induction
You may have heard that KISS' Gene Simmons announced in a recent interview that the band's original lineup would not reunite if the costumed rockers finally are chosen for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. However, Simmons insists that he was "clearly misquoted."
Responding to comments reported in an article posted on ClassicRockMagazine.com, the singer/bassist took to Twitter to explain that he wasn't talking about the group's four founding members playing together at the Rock Hall ceremony.
"We will not tour together," he writes. "That's the only thing I said."
KISS is among 16 artists that were nominated for induction into the Rock Hall's Class of 2014. Simmons and fellow KISS band mate Paul Stanley have not performed with former members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss since the latter two musicians left the group in 2002 and 2004, respectively.
