Report: Two Special Beatles Tributes to Take Place During Grammy Week in January

Facebook.com/TheBeatlesHere's some fab news! Two special tributes marking the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' arrival in the U.S. will be held in conjunction with the 2014 Grammy Week festivities.  According to Showbiz411.com, next year's Grammy Awards ceremony, which is scheduled for January 26, will feature a special segment commemorating the milestone, and then a star-studded concert paying homage to The Beatles will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Ringo Starr confirmed news of the tributes to Showbiz411.com's Roger Friedman, while also admitting that he and Paul McCartney had discussed the possibility of at least attending the concert.

"It's not like we're not going to do it," Starr told the journalist.  "But it might be cool to have all these other bands doing our stuff, and we're watching."

The Beatles' first visit to the States began on February 7, 1964, when they landed at New York City's JFK Airport. Two days later, the band made its historic appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
