Phillip Phillips to Re-Release Platinum Debut with Live Tracks

19 Entertainment/Interscope RecordsPhillip Phillips' debut album The World from the Side of the Moon has been certified platinum for sales of a million copies, but come next month, he'll have the opportunity to sell a few more, thanks to a re-release with bonus tracks.

On November 19, the one-year anniversary of the album's release, a new version arrives in stores with three live tracks: "Gone Gone Gone," "Where We Came From" and "Man on the Moon."   The songs were recorded during Phillip's stint as the opening act on John Mayer's Born and Raised tour.  The good news is that if you already own the album, you can buy the three tracks separately under the name Phillip Phillips: Live.

In a statement, the former American Idol champ said, "I'm so thankful for all who have supported me and my music this year. Live music is my passion and I want to be able to share that with my fans."

Phillip will continue as John Mayer's opening act on the second leg of John's tour, which starts in Moline, Illinois, on November 19, the same day the re-release comes out.  That run wraps up December 17 in Brooklyn, NY.  Between then and now, Phillip will do a brief headlining tour at colleges, starting November 7 at Penn State.
