Elton John made an appearance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night, and he shared his thoughts on the artist with whom the host has been feuding: Kanye West.
Jimmy Kimmel will welcome the rapper onto his show Wednesday night, two weeks after Kanye attacked Kimmel on Twitter for mocking him in a sketch.
Elton jokingly advised Kimmel to "wear a suit of armor" for the interview with Kanye. He then said, "No, I played on his record. I love him. He's a genius." Elton was featured on Kanye's single "All of the Lights" a few years ago.
Speaking of collaborations, Elton revealed that earlier Tuesday, he recorded music with rocker Jack White. He didn't dish any other details on that get-together.
When Kimmel asked Elton if he'll marry his partner of 20 years, David Furnish, Elton replied in the affirmative. He said they will tie the knot next year, when same-sex marriage becomes legal in England.
Elton, who entered into a civil partnership with David in 2005 and has two kids with him, remarked, "If the laws are going to help us again, then as a famous gay couple we will do it. It's our duty to do it to make sure everyone knows that it's something; it's a gift that we never dreamed that we'd ever get."
Elton closed the show by performing two songs: "Home Again," off his new album The Diving Board, and his classic tune "Tiny Dancer."
