Journey and Steve Miller Band Joining Forces for Expansive 2014 North American Tour

PRNewsFoto/Live NationJourney and the Steve Miller Band are two of the most famous groups to emerge from San Francisco's Bay Area, and now the renowned rockers are set to team up for a major 2014 North American tour that celebrates the city.  The trek will kick off May 15 in Chula Vista, California, and is mapped out all the way through an August 1 show in Las Vegas.

Serving as the opening act for the tour will be another veteran Bay Area group, the horn-driven collective Tower of Power.  The tour includes stops in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta, Toronto, Cincinnati and Denver.

"We are all so looking forward to playing again for you in 2014 with the great company of the Steve Miller Band and Tower of Power," says Journey's members.  "It's going to be a San Francisco musical delight from the past and present, moving full speed ahead into the future!"

Miller adds, "I can't think of a better way for the Joker to celebrate his 40th and the Steve Miller Band to enjoy next summer than playing all our hits for all of our fans as we tour the entire USA with our brother San Francisco bands, Journey and the Tower of Power…We can't wait to get started!"

Tickets to most of the concerts will be made available to the general public starting Friday, November 22 at LiveNation.com.  At the time of purchase, fans will be able to donate money to aid victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan.
