Fun on Earth, Queen drummer Roger Taylor's first solo album since 1998's Electric Fire, was released in the U.K. this week. In celebration of the 13-track collection's arrival, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has launched an official website offering information about all of his solo releases, a biography section, a photo gallery and much more.
In addition, an official promo video for Fun on Earth's first single, "Sunny Day," has premiered online. The clip shows Taylor lip-synching the tune on a sun-drenched terrace with a lush rural countryside behind him. As he croons, some of the song's lyrics appear in frame, while random animated images of seahorses, audiotape reels, guitars, clothes pins and many other objects also float around him. In addition, the camera sometimes pans up to show a deep blue sky, brilliant sunlight and some fluffy clouds. Other segments of the video feature close-up footage of someone hitting drum cymbals and someone playing a guitar solo.
The video can be viewed now at RogerTaylorOfficial.com. Meanwhile, another clip featuring the audio of the Fun on Earth track "Up" has been posted on Queen's official YouTube channel. The danceable tune features insistent electronic drums and some snaky, bluesy slide guitar.
U.S. fans can purchase Fun on Earth via Queen's online store.
