Train to Perform at National Christmas Tree Lighting

PRNewsFoto/T.J. Martell FoundationTrain will be getting into the holiday spirit early next month, when they perform at the National Christmas Tree Lighting, taking place December 6 in Washington, D.C.

The ceremony will be webcast live at starting at 4:30 p.m., but if you miss it, it will air on public television throughout the month of December. It's not clear how many songs the band will be performing, but we're sure their holiday tune "Shake Up Christmas" will be one of them.

Joining Train at the event will be acclaimed R&B songstress Janelle Monáe, who was featured on fun.'s smash hit "We Are Young," as well as jazz legend Arturo Sandoval and Latin star Prince Royce.

And speaking of Train and Christmas, the band has the perfect gift for the holidays: a deluxe gift pack that includes three of their signature wines -- Drops of Jupiter, Calling All Angels and Soul Sister -- and three bars of their signature Ghirardelli chocolate.  Best of all, proceeds from sales of the $60 pack go to Family House, a San Francisco-based charity that provides support for the families of children who are gravely ill.  Visit to order.
