Madonna, Bon Jovi, Elton John on "Forbes" List of Highest-Paid Musicians

Madonna.com; AEG LiveForbes magazine is out with its annual list of the world's highest-paid musicians, and the Material Girl herself, Madonna, easily topped the tally, which estimates earnings from June 1 of 2012 through June 1 of this year.  The dance-pop diva brought in an impressive $125 million during that period.

Bon Jovi, meanwhile, came in at #3 overall, with earnings of $79 million, thanks to the New Jersey band's huge Because We Can tour, which took in an estimated $3 million per city.

Among the other veteran performers who also finished high on the list was Elton John, who came in eighth with $54 million in earnings.  Paul McCartney landed in 12th place after bringing in $47 million thanks to his share of The Beatles catalog and his successful concerts.  Ex-Pink Floyd singer/bassist Roger Waters was #15 on the list with $44 million from his successful The Wall Live Tour and his Floyd royalties.  The Rolling Stones, meanwhile, came in tied for 22nd with pop starlet Katy Perry after a $39 million windfall.
