A special two-day exhibition featuring photographs taken by Ringo Starr will be hosted by Las Vegas' Palms Casino Resort this Friday and Saturday, coinciding with the ex-Beatles drummer and his All Starr Band's concerts in the city. The display will feature pics and limited-edition prints of images that appear in Starr's new limited-edition coffee-table book Photograph.
In conjunction with the exhibit, a group of Beatles fans from New Jersey who were photographed by Starr in February 1964 as the Fab Four left JFK Airport in New York City upon arriving in the U.S. will be in attendance on Saturday and will meet Ringo for the first time. The fans' identities recently were discovered after Starr revealed to the press that he was curious to find out who they were.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to midnight PT. Admission is free.
The event will mark the official release of Photograph, which features a wide variety of previously unseen images snapped by Starr throughout his life, along with accompanying personal recollections from the 73-year-old rock legend. Each copy of the publication is personally signed by Ringo, is hand-numbered and has a hand-bound leather cover. The book will set you back a few bucks though. The publisher, Genesis Publications, is offering the book on its website for 345 pounds, or around $555.
Ringo's All Starr Band shows will take place at Palms Casino's Pearl Theater at 8 p.m. PT, and will be the group's final 2013 tour dates.
