American Music Awards Backstage Report Swift brought home four trophies Sunday night at the American Music Awards, including the prestigious Artist of the Year award, for a record third time.  All in all, she's now won 14 American Music Awards.

Backstage after the show, Taylor admitted to ABC that no matter how many times she goes up to the podium, she can't remember accepting awards. “It's a crazy thing to happen to you: like, I never get used to it. I legitimately black out. It's a scary thing 'cause I don't know what I'm saying, and then afterward I ask people, "Like, like, did I, did I like, did...What happened?"

Taylor describes winning the Artist of the Year trophy for the third time as “kind of mind-numbingly unbelievable and...a little bit hard to absorb.”

Taylor said the fact that it's fans voting “makes it that much better.”

Taylor has won numerous awards during her career.  When asked by ABC where she puts the awards at home, the singer replied, “All over the place. In bookshelves, in my kitchen, anywhere there's a surface I can put it on.”

Taylor also said backstage that her next album is “really looking promising so far.”

Jennifer Lopez spoke backstage about the elaborate song and dance routine she did in tribute to late Latin music legend Celia Cruz. Lopez told ABC she believes the tribute was host PitBull's idea.  “I think it was actually Pitbull's idea to do the homage. They had been talking, he had been talking with the producers about doing it maybe for the Latin Grammys and they were like ‘Why doing we do it for the American Music Awards’ and he was like, ‘Even Better.’”

TLC performed their hit "Waterfalls," with Lil Mama filling in for the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. Backstage, the group was asked about a rumor that they'd perform with a hologram of Lopes.  The ladies said they “emotionally, honestly...can't deal” with the idea of Lopes standing there.  The ladies said it's “just way too much right now.”
