Garth Brooks Gearing Up for a Very Big Black Friday with New Box Set, TV Special

WynnBlack Friday is a really big day for Garth Brooks fans. The singer's Blame It All on My Roots box set hits Walmart stores that day, featuring six CDs, including two discs of Garth's Ultimate Hits and four new discs of Garth singing the songs that inspired him as an artist. The set also includes a DVD of Garth's two-hour one-man show at the Wynn Las Vegas, and another DVD containing 33 music videos.

Friday night, Garth's two-hour Live from Las Vegas special airs at 9:00 ET on CBS. The show broadcasts straight from Wynn Las Vegas, with Garth performing his biggest hits and a lot of the cover songs that appear on the Blame It All on My Roots box set.

As previously reported, Blame It All on My Roots includes one disc focused on Garth's classic country influences, including his take on George Strait's "Unwound" and Keith Whitley's "Don't Close Your Eyes," as well as a duet with wife Trisha Yearwood on Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn's "After the Fire Is Gone." On another disc, Garth covers R&B classics like Gladys Knight's "Midnight Train to Georgia," Stevie Wonder's "Superstition," and the Motown gem "I Heard It Through the Grapevine." The classic rock disc finds Garth singing songs from Jackson Browne, Jerry Lee Lewis and Bob Seger, and a fourth disc, titled Melting Pot, features Garth singing both parts of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson" among other folk and pop hits.
