"Lady Gaga & the Muppets" Holiday Spectacular Airs Thanksgiving Night on ABC

ABC/Rick RowellWhen you're slumped in front of your TV set Thursday night in a turkey coma, Lady Gaga and an eclectic mix of guests will be ready to entertain you.  Lady Gaga & the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular airs Thanksgiving night at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

In her second ABC Thanksgiving special, Gaga teams with The Muppets for what's described as an "avant-garde twist on the classic holiday variety show."  That means comedy sketches and singing courtesy of big names like Elton John, actors Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Kristen Bell, and the world's most famous drag queen, RuPaul

Of course, Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the Muppets will be there to lend a hand, as well as their voices.  You'll see Gaga duetting with Kermit on her song "Gypsy," plus Muppet renditions of "Deck the Halls" and "Jingle Bells," and a show-stopping version of Gaga's hit "Applause." She also duets with her good pal Elton on his hit "Bennie & the Jets," which he changes to "Gaga & the Jets" for the occasion.

During the show, stay tuned for a special sneak peek of the upcoming movie Muppets Most Wanted, which features Gaga in a cameo.  It's due out in March.

"I was so excited when ABC called me about doing a holiday special this year,” Gaga says in a statement. "I knew it just wouldn't be a complete night of laughter and memories without the Muppets! Can't wait to see the gang again and I hope Miss Piggy's still not mad about Kermit. We're just friends!"
