Season Two of E Street Band Guitarist Steven Van Zandt's TV Series "Lillyhammer" to Debut Next Month
The second season of Lilyhammer, the Netflix TV series starring E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt, will premiere on December 13 at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT. All eight new episodes of the series will be accessible from the on-demand service at that time.
The show features Van Zandt as a mob boss named Frank "The Fixer" Tagliano who relocates to Lillehammer, Norway after joining a witness-protection program. Once settled in the Scandinavian country, the gangster starts a new family while also resuming his life of crime while working as a nightclub owner under the alias of Johnny Henriksen. In the new season, trouble is brewing for Tagliano when some former underworld associates discover he's still alive and show up in Norway looking for him.
In addition to being featured in the lead role, Van Zandt also composed the entire score for Lillyhammer's new season.
"The second season of Lilyhammer is an amped-up ride that gives us Steven Van Zandt at his glorious, baddest, best," says Netflix executive Ted Sarandos. "Whether you enjoyed season one or are catching it for the first time, Lilyhammer is a mob show like no other."
The program, which debuted on Netflix in February 2012, also is the most popular TV show in Norway.
