Reba Developed Her Gun-Toting Skills on Screen and on Stage

CMAEven though Reba grew up on a ranch in Oklahoma, she didn't really have any experience with guns until she had to shoot them for acting roles in the 1990 film Tremors and the 1995 TV movie Buffalo Girls.

Reba tells, "I've become a pretty good shot. Because, yeah, you have to learn how to hold a gun. I didn't want to get up there and look like an absolute novice. I'm supposed to be a gun-totin' survivalist in Tremors."

Those gun skills came in handy for Reba in 2001 when she played Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun on Broadway. She's hoping to carry a gun on screen again soon in a Western.

Reba says, "I would love to do a Western with, you know, like, Sam Elliot, Kevin Costner, Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones. ... If I could just have a small part in that, I would love it."
