Beyonce's new self-titled album is the fastest-selling album in the history of the iTunes online store, Apple announced.
According to the company, Beyonce sold an unprecedented 828,773 copies worldwide in its first three days on sale. The collection also broke the record for the largest-ever sales week for an album on the U.S. iTunes store, moving 617,213 units domestically through the close of business on Sunday, December 15. The set is also number one in 104 countries.
The singer's staggering sales start guarantees that Beyonce will debut at the number one position on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album also represents Bey's biggest sales week of her career and marks the largest sales week of 2013 for a woman -- the biggest since Taylor Swift's Red bowed with 1.2 million copies sold back in 2012.
