Following an impressive year, Pharrell will conclude 2013 on a high note. The mega-producer has landed a new recording contract with Columbia Records.
The label announced on Tuesday that fans can anticipate his latest single, "Happy" -- which originally appeared on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack -- to be included on Pharrell's his forthcoming solo album, due out next year.
Earlier this month, Skateboard P revealed in Complex's digital issue that his next project will be a non-rap album.
In related news, Pharrell’s announcement comes just weeks after T.I. joined Columbia Records and revealed that Pharrell is expected to executive produce the rapper's next effort.
