Eli Young Band Feeling the Pressure to Continue Their String of Hits

Republic NashvilleEli Young Band has scored another big hit with their latest single, "Drunk Last Night," and that bodes well for their upcoming studio album. The group's lead singer Mike Eli admits they weren't so sure they'd be able to repeat the success of their previous album, Life at Best, which produced the #1 hits "Crazy Girl" and "Even If It Breaks Your Heart."

Says Mike, "I definitely think with this record there was more pressure than ever, which we didn't necessarily think that that was going to be the case, but then when you're faced with making that next record, you're faced with that choice of how far are we gonna go with this record and how do we want to make this record?"

Thanks to their string of hits, the guys know they have a good track record with country radio.

"Our music works on country radio well enough," says the band's Jon Jones. "It's just, the pressure is in finding the songs."

Look for Eli Young Band's next album to be released in 2014.
