Kip Moore Moves Out of Cramped, Bug-Infested Room into a Proper Nashville Home

MCA NashvilleKip Moore has finally moved out of that small, dingy room he was staying in on Nashville's Music Row into a house near downtown Nashville. In an effort to keep in touch with the drive he had as an up-and-coming artist, Kip lived in that small room when he was off the road, but it finally got to be too much for him.

"I feel like I was on the edge of a breakdown a lot of times," Kip tells ABC News Radio. "You get done from a long, strenuous, three-week run on the road and you come home to just the room, you could barely fit a bed in the room, it was so tiny. And all my stuff was crammed in there, and it was dark and dingy."

To make matters worse, the room didn't have hot water and was full of bugs.

Kip says, "Lots and lots of bugs, man. Just tons of it, man. You'd be laying there in bed and all the sudden a roach flies on your face."

Now that Kip is in a proper house, he's found his creative juices are really flowing.

Kip says of the house, "I've just been writing like crazy in it. So, it's got a little beach feel in it, man, and I got a cool little music room, and I've been writing non-stop."

Kip's latest single, "Young Love," is the lead release from his upcoming sophomore album, due out in 2014.
