Yet more music luminaries have been added to the already-star-packed Gregg Allman tribute show that's scheduled for January 10, 2014, at Atlanta's Fox Theatre. Dr. John, country singer Vince Gill and ex-Allman Brothers Band member and current Rolling Stones touring keyboardist Chuck Leavell have joined the concert's lineup.
The event, titled All My Friends: Celebrating the Songs & Voice of Gregg Allman, also will feature previously announced performances from the Allman Brothers themselves, Jackson Browne, soul legend Sam Moore, Natalie Cole, Taj Mahal, John Hiatt, Train's Pat Monahan, Robert Randolph, Keb' Mo', Susan Tedeschi and country artists Trace Adkins, Eric Church and Martina McBride.
The show, which will feature a house band led by acclaimed producer Don Was, will offer a variety of unique collaborations between various musicians on the bill. Some surprise guests also are expected to join the festivities.
The concert will be filmed for an AXS TV special that will air in May.
