The initial lineup has been announced for The Allman Brothers Band's second annual Peach Music Festival, which is scheduled for August 15-18 at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The Allmans will serve as headliners for two of the event's nights, as will founding Grateful Dead singer/guitarist Bob Weir and his group RatDog.
Other artists on the bill include The Black Crowes, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and Allman Brothers percussionist Jaimoe's side project Jaimoe's Jasssz Band. Additional acts will be revealed soon.
"The first Peach Festival was as great of a success as we could have asked for," says The Allman Brothers Band in a statement. "The overwhelming response from both the audience and artists to continue has exceeded our expectations. We are very excited that Bob Weir & RatDog have decided to join us this year in Scranton along with many other talented musicians."
Tickets for the Peach Music Festival go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Special "early bird" passes priced at $99 will be available on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
