The premiere of Beyonce's Life Is but a Dream documentary brought big ratings to HBO over the weekend. The buzz over Bey also attracted 1.3 million viewers to the OWN network, which aired the star's Oprah's Next Chapter interview an hour before Life Is but a Dream debuted.
That's all according to The Hollywood Reporter, which reports that Beyonce's film gave HBO its most-watched documentary effort in nearly a decade. The magazine reports that 1.8 million viewers caught the first airing of Life Is but a Dream. That bested numbers brought by director Spike Lee's miniseries When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts, which focused on Hurricane Katrina's devastating effects in New Orleans.
