Scoring the opening performance on the Grammy Awards was good news for Taylor Swift in the album sales department. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Taylor's latest release, Red, moved 72,000 copies in the week after the Grammy broadcast earlier this month. That's an increase of 106 percent over the previous week, putting Taylor back at #1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart.
Though he didn't take home any hardware, Grammy nominee Hunter Hayes also benefited from exposure on the show. Sales of his self-titled debut project were up 80 percent after his Grammy appearance. Carrie Underwood's Blown Away was up 70 percent after her Grammy performance. Zac Brown Band took the Best Country Album Grammy for Uncaged, and they saw that project's sales spike 116 percent.
