Fantasia Demands Apology from "JET" Magazine over Cover Photo

Photo courtesy Fantasia via InstagramFantasia is ticked off at JET magazine, and she's demanding a "PUBLIC APOLOGY" from the publication for the picture it used on the cover of its March 18, 2013, issue.  "This saddens Me!!!" Fantasia says in a comment she posted to Instagram together with an image of the magazine cover, which shows her from the shoulders up, with a short haircut.

"It is clear that this picture is 10 Years Old and JET Magazine puts it on the Cover!! After I send them the NEW LOOK AND DIRECTION. . SAD!!!" Fantasia writes in the caption.

Perhaps the "new look" that Fantasia is referring to is the one she shows off in the cover art for her upcoming album Side Effects of You.  In that photo, her hair is longer and cut into a bob with blunt bangs.

As for JET's cover story on Fantasia, the singer says, "Now im not sure if the interview is correct," adding, "SEE!! America they... use me as they crash Dummy BUT NO MORE. IF I DONT STAND FOR SOMETHING ILL FALL FOR ANYTHING."  The cover line for the Fantasia feature reads: "RUMORS, REGRETS, & WHAT'S NEXT..."

Inside the magazine, the mother of two talks about self-love and being single.  In a just-released video, Fantasia invites fans behind the scenes, for a look at her recording process for Side Effects of You.
