Grateful Dead Spinoff Band Furthur Schedules April Residency in Port Chester, NY

Facebook.com/FurthurBandFurthur, the Grateful Dead spinoff group featuring founding guitarist Bob Weir and bassist Phil Lesh, has announced an eight-show April residency at the recently reopened Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.  The concerts are scheduled for April 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24 and 25.

This will mark the first time that Weir and Lesh have graced the venue's stage since The Grateful Dead last performed there in 1971.  The jam band also has lined up an April 27 gig at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

First up for Furthur is a three-show stint that winds down this Sunday at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.  In addition, as previously announced, the group will play a set on May 9 at the BottleRock Napa Valley Festival in Napa, California.
