Carrie Underwood is no stranger to the Grammy Awards stage, and she's set to give another performance on the show Sunday night. There are only 19 musical performance slots on this year's Grammy Awards, and Carrie is honored to represent country music on the all-genre show.
She says, "I just want to do the best job that I possibly can to represent our format and show everybody what they might be missing and make 'em wanna jump on the bandwagon."
Since it's such a big deal to land a Grammy performance, Carrie admits she still gets nervous on the day of the show.
"I've always made it through before," Carrie says, "and hopefully, since I've done it a few times, it'll be a little easier.
Carrie is nominated for two Grammys this year -- Best Country Solo Performance for "Blown Away" and Best Country Song for co-writing the number with Josh Kear and Chris Thompkins.
Taylor Swift is scheduled to open the 55th Annual Grammy Awards Sunday night at 8 Eastern on CBS. Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert are teaming up for a collaboration on the show, and Zac Brown is participating in an all-star tribute to the late Levon Helm.
