Gospel Singers Go After Rick Ross over "3 Kings" Song
Photo Courtesy of StarzTwo gospel singers are suing Rick Ross, claiming that he sampled their song for his God Forgives, I Don't track "3 Kings" without their permission. Along with Rick, the song's other two kings -- special guests Jay-Z and Dr. Dre -- are also named in the lawsuit, along with producer Jake One and Universal Music Group.
That's according to AllHipHop.com, which reports that Clara Shepherd Warrick and Jimmy Lee Weary own the rights to the 1976 song "I'm So Grateful (Keep in Touch)." The track was recorded by the gospel group The Crowns of Glory and released on an album titled God Save the Children.
