Ne-Yo and Cher Lloyd to Use Social Media to Create New Song

Courtesy: FruttareNe-Yo and Cher Lloyd have teamed up to create a new sort of crowd-sourced music, made from tweets, Facebook messages and photos on Instagram.  The project is a promotion for the new Fruttare Fruit Bars frozen treat.

"This is one of the first times that I've ever reached out and allowed the fans to give us their input," Ne-Yo told a group of journalists at an exclusive event at Bennett Media Studio in New York City Wednesday. "I've never done that before so I feel like it should be interesting to do whatever it is that they're saying and try to take the different bits and pieces from the different personalities and put it together in one song."

Using the #ItsAllGood hashtag, fans can submit inspiration and lyrics to Ne-Yo and Cher via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram starting Wednesday and running through May 20. The two artists will then create an original song, which will premiere in late June on Fruttare's Facebook page.

Fans trying to reach the British singer, should probably use Twitter as Cher Lloyd called herself an "addict" of the network.  She continued, "I like Twitter because it's easy to use and you can just tweet whatever you want...and all my fans are on it as well."

Still, Ne-Yo, who proudly boasted that he's on three social networks -- Facebook, Twitter and Instagram -- said, "I am a completely fake freelance photographer so I like trying to take pictures [on Instagram.] ...Twitter is cool too, but I have a tendency to ramble and they don't give me enough characters."
