ABBA's Bjorn Makes Ill-Advised Joke About Boston Marathon Bombing

Foc Kan/WireImageTalk about "too soon:" ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus appeared on British TV on Tuesday and made a lame joke about the Boston Marathon bombing, which happened on Monday.

Appearing on the morning TV show BBC One Breakfast, the 67-year-old Ulvaeus was asked to reveal the secret of how he remains so young-looking.  "Well, I don't know," he replied. "Running is good, unless you're in the Boston Marathon."

Immediately recognizing what he said, Ulvaeus winced and said, "Ooh."  He was cut off by the interviewer, who added hurriedly, "Which is terrible for everyone to deal with," as Ulvaeus chimed in, "Terrible, terrible."

Fans appear to be split over whether Ulvaeus' remark was stupid, mean-spirited and insensitive, or whether it was just an unfortunate slip of the tongue.

(Ulvaeus' comment comes 1:31 into the video below)
